The jsquared music performance center offers private lesson packages. We work individually with each student to develop a lesson plan that will ensure that they are well-rounded musicians.

College Scholarship Audition Prep

Passion is infectious. At the jsquared music performance center, we feel that in order to build better musicians, performers and leaders, we must first be passionate about what and why we teach. Helping students to see and fulfill their musical potential is our passion. And with the rising costs of college education, it is important for us to help our students find ways to pay for it. Why not use that passion for music to pay for your college education?

Many college band programs across the country offer scholarships to students to march in their band programs. Do you have to be a music major? NO! Through our network of college band directors, the jsquared music performance center can help you gain scholarship auditions that will give students the chance to earn money for college. 

The jsquared music performance center offers College Scholarship Audition Prep (CSAP) lesson packages. We work individually with each student to develop a lesson plan that will ensure that they are fully prepared to audition with college band directors.

• Audition prep lessons are open to juniors and seniors on any wind instrument.

• Each lesson is tailored specifically to each student's needs.

• Each lesson is delivered in a 1 on 1, live online session or in person if you are in the Atlanta, GA metro area.

• College and financial aid counseling is included.

Our students will learn and master the following:

• Scales

• Audition repertoire (prepared piece)

• Ear training

• Sight reading

• Music theory

• Leadership skills

• Performance confidence

30 Minutes = $30
45 Minutes = $45
60 Minutes = $60

All lessons will be charged weekly or in 4 or 8 lesson packages through our online payment system.

• All lessons are 1 on 1 and delivered online. Students must have access to a video streaming device (computer, phone or tablet) and an internet connection.

• The 4 lessons in the CSAP plan are not weekly. Lesson dates are scheduled according to the progress that is being made. They may be spread out over the course of 2-3 months.

• 24 hour notice is required to reschedule a lesson. Because the lesson dates and times of the CSAP plan are flexible, rescheduling is easy (with the proper notice).

• Missed lessons with no notice are non-refundable.

• Regular practice is expected of all students.

Most importantly...

The jsquared music performance center can not guarantee a scholarship. How well a student does on the scholarship audition is totally up to the student. If they follow all of the recommendations of their instructor (and PRACTICE), then the odds of getting a scholarship are in their favor. It is our job to help them be as prepared as possible, it is the student's job to follow through and deliver during the audition.
